What you will find
A Fluxbox desktop, Conky monitor, Daylight landscapes and an ASCII-branded terminal. Rust utilities cover passwords, temperatures, dates, local networking and alarms; games are optional. Native windows use YAD only on demand.
A familiar foundation, not a black box
Raspberry Pi OS remains identifiable. Daylight is managed as Debian packages and keeps its settings separate. Its code and tests are public under GPLv3, with third-party licenses preserved.
Lightweight: a goal to verify
No Electron-based toolkit, no permanent settings server and no network request whenever you open a terminal. Results depend on hardware and running services: we do not promise a speedup percentage without comparable measurements.
